Most of the bow hunting in Africa is done over waterholes with shots on average of 20
yards, and maximum of 35 yards.
A bow with kinetic energy of minimum of 60 ft pounds is advisable.
We advise an arrow weight of close to 400 grains with a good fixed blade broad head.
Minimum requirements for buffalo is 90 pounds and Elephant is 100 ft pounds, - here
you look at arrows with weight of 900— 1000 grains with a good 2 blade fixed broad
head.
Mussy, Zwiggy, Thunderhead, etc.
Best time for bow hunting is later in our season — July-Oct, it is drier.
Also check the moon phase. Dark moon is best for bow hunting.
